Tour súper informativo y entretenido!

Hice este tour en inglés con mi pareja. Nuestro guía fue Jairo y fue genial! Disfrute como una niña pequeña haciendo dulce y probando el cacao. El proceso del café fue súper interesante, muy interactivo en cada proceso y haciéndote sentir parte de cómo se producen estos tres productos. Lo recomiendo si tienes algún tiempo libre en Monteverde. Nos recogieron en nuestros apartamentos, genial la atención.

Hands down - best tour - coffee / cocoa heaven!

This was, hands down, probably the best tour that I have ever done. Jeffery, thank you for taking my husband and I around your plantation and being soooo knowledgeable. I learnt more than I thought possible about coffee and cocoa. From the different varieties of arabica beans at El Trapiche, tasting the beans roasted at different layers, tasting the flesh of the cocoa, then seeds unroasted and roasted and then learning about the processing of both beans. Tasting the cocoa beans as chocolate was heaven! Having a go with making sweets from fresh sugar cane was fun as well and an added bonus. Beautiful grounds and views from the fields. Jeffery was so enthusiastic and we could tell that he loved his job and would never get bored of talking to visitors and educating them. Pure Vida!! The coffee and food at the end was a lovely touch and perfect refreshing end to the tour.

Must-see tour!!!

Jeffry is the best tour guide ever! So knowledgeable and welcoming of any questions we had. The tour is worth every penny plus more! We did the tour that covers the sugarcane, coffee, and cacao and were able to try all three plus the picadillo de arracache tacos and aguadulce. Jeffry did an amazing job by going in depth about production and the nuances of the growing and roasting processes. Super fascinating! This is an amazing business to support since it’s family owned and they contribute heavily to the community in Monteverde. Can’t recommend it enough and will be back next visit to Monteverde!

Very Enjoyable

We have never tasted such delicious coffee. The sugar cane juice was mmmm as was the candy that we made. Cocoa beans are always mmmm good. It was a nice afternoon!

Very personal tour around a coffee and sugar farm.

Family owned farm that commercially farms coffee and sugar cane and has demo plants of chocolate. Currently taking small groups on a walking tour around the farm. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about coffee in particular and you can tell he was gauging his talk to the level of interest of the group; I suspect he could talk your ear off for an hour on the history, uses, and varieties and methods of preparation if re willing to listen.

Favorite Excursion of 12 Days

This Coffee/Chocolate tour was our favorite of four excursions planned by our travel group, Costa Rican Vacations. This charming family has organized a fantastic experience to guide visitors through the entire production process from bean cultivation, through harvesting, drying, sorting and market preparation of coffee and chocolate beans. The son's English presentation was exceptional as he enthusiastically shared his knowledge, and he was quite engaging and had a great sense of humor. The father was quiet and very nice as he cooked sugar cane for us to stir into our own little bag of candy. The mother took great care to prepare delicious snacks and show us lovely warmth and hospitality. My husband had done a similar tour in southern Costa Rica, and said this family’s tour was much more informative and interactive. Please do not pass on this exceptional experience when visiting Monteverde

El mejor tour que puedes hacer en Monteverde! Muy educativo, no excesivamente caro y muy completo. El guía, Sergio, disfruta explicando cada etapa del proceso de elaboración del café, cacao y caña de azúcar desde la planta hasta el producto final . Al terminar, te regalan una pequeña degustación.

Me encantó!! Es un tour donde se aprende muchísimo y es muy entretenido, nuestra guía Marta muy experta en todos los temas y evacuó nuestras dudas, sin lugar a dudas una experiencia que todos los nacionales deberíamos realizar! Todos los detalles están cubiertos y el final es delicioso!
